From 2001 I have employed Higgins Fencing Contractors to carry out all of the deer, sheep and horticultural fencing requirements on my orchard and farming developments around the Nelson district. This has included transforming 360 hectares of cut over forestry and scrub into productive farm land on a mixture of terrains with all the boundary and internal fencing necessary. Higgins Fencing Contractors have shown a commitment to professional and efficient service delivery through their team approach and machinery capability. Over this time we have forged a mutually respected partnership sharing expertise and strengths. I have no hesitation in recommending them for any fencing project.
I would enthusiastically recommend your workmanship, promptness, and reliability to anyone I speak with. Many thanks.
Higgins Fencing recently carried out work on my property in Pigeon Valley Wakefield. Two new boundary fences, and 3 new internal fences, were installed including gates. Once the job was started the work was carried out efficiently and professionally. Any changes requested during the job were attended to without hesitation. I found all HIggins Fencing personnel to be friendly, attentive and hard-working. I am very pleased with the results of the fencing carried out and would recommend Higgins Fencing Services.
Wakefield Playcentre chose Higgins Fencing Contractors as they showed a genuine interest in our fencing project, were concerned with the safety issues and were able to finish the job within a short time constraint enabling us to open at the beginning of term.
Higgins Fencing Contractors were employed by Waiua Farms to complete 5 kilometres of new fencing and repair and tidy up another approximate 5 kilometres of fencing on Durville Island. The terrain is difficult to say the least and unfortunately when the fencing commenced, it coincided with an extremely wet and cold spring – on of the worst on record. Higgins Fencing Contractors handled the conditions professionally and efficiently. They were regular, reliable and pleasant to work with. The work was completed for less than the original budgeted cost. I have no hesitation in recommending Higgins Fencing Contractors to any future clients.
We found using the gator to be the most cost effective and efficient method for the job. The grapes were already planted and allowed us to continue the seasonal operations without interruption.
The guys were good value and showed an interest in getting it right for us. We have had comments from others on the quality of the work which has been done.
— Ken Ringrose I found Phil and his team easy to deal with. Phil’s professional approach combined with his practical know how delivered a fencing solution second to none.
Thanks so much for the great job. We are really pleased with your work and standards. No fuss, no mess, no waste of time and really nice fencing team.
As civil engineering and forest contractors we enjoy relationship-style contracts with our clients and this is also reflected in our subcontractor selection. Committing to a “best for project” philosophy we have a robust selection process in terms of safety and quality which Higgins Fencing has always succeeded. Having utilised the services of Higgins Fencing for the last 8 years as fencing subcontrators on a number of various projects around the Nelson region we can attest to their continued professionalism, ability to provide both flexibility and innovation to ensure we are meeting out clients needs, and efficiency – they have continued to meet our deadlines on time and to the quality standard we require. We have found their systems were robust and ensured compliance with site safety standards and resource consents conditions. They were well resourced in terms of people and equipment and were willing to work closely with our staff and managers. We would have no hesitation in recommending their services to other businesses.
